Dress for Success
As my passions for volunteering with nonprofits grew after working with Ear Community, I searched for one that combined my hobby of fashion and helping women and discovered the Dress for Success (DFS) nonprofit branch in Washington, D.C.
I began by volunteering to be on the Style Committee through leading my first Zoom webinar on the topic of fashion psychology, which I have written my personal blog about in my free time. Through this webinar, known as Fashion 411, I was able to empower women about their wardrobe choices and how it impacts their confidence and psychological states.
My goal of volunteering with DFS was to use my interpersonal and leadership skills, fashion, and psychology knowledge to help empower women to obtain employment. I am passionate about helping women become independent, and in addition I am able to gain further experience working with another nonprofit.
